Fresh cherries were harvested on January 23, 2025, from the Porton. Pre-dried on raised African beds for 48 hours, fermented 5 days in sealed tanks with CO2. Then, the coffee was slowly dried on raised beds in a low-temperature drying room for 44 days. Hacienda La Esmeralda, established in 1967, first winning the BOP in 2004 with their Gesha. The estate has flourished under the management of the Peterson family, living up to its legendary name. The El Velo was acquired in 2012, this lot comes from the Porton.
