RWANDA - Gisheke Anoxic
Tasting Notes
Description
NEW RELEASE! 📼 Thrilled to bring back a number of Rwanda coffees to showcase this spring. Sourced through the legends at Raw Material, these coffees are from Gisheke in the Nyamasheke District. Gisheke’s geographic location makes it ideal for the processing and drying of naturally processed lots, however, Raw Material's work at origin has also culminated in experimental processes such as this one. 'Anoxic water pillow washed' 🤙 This fascinatingly simple fermentation technique was developed at El Fenix. I have linked a rad article from RM that explains this process and it's history beautifully and better than I could on a 'buy this coffee' pitch. Check it out here 👇 Anoxic water pillow technique This coffee is a super tasty example of the complexity of Rwanda coffee and realllllly fun to pair and parallel with the naty Gisheke which is also currently available. In the brew I'm getting macerated strawberries, vanilla, a 'daiquiri-esc' mouthfeel making it clean & sweet. raaaaaaaaaaad! Varietal - Red Bourbon // region - Nyamasheke All Process coffees are sold as 200g **Roasted on Tuesdays, ships on Thursdays 🤙 SPECIALITY COFFEE BEANS FROM RWANDA
