Kenya AA Baragwi Guama
Tasting Notes
Description
This lot was processed at the Guama Factory, a wet mill located in Kirinyaga County. The factory is managed by the Baragwi Farmers' Cooperative Society, which is recognised for consistently producing high-quality coffees from the region. Founded in 1953, the Baragwi FCS supports nearly 17,000 smallholder farmers and oversees 12 wet mills, including Guama, which was built in 1974 at around 1,800 meters above sea level. Today, the factory serves approximately 2,000 local producers who deliver handpicked cherries for careful processing. Kenyan coffees are globally recognized for their vivid flavour profiles and crisp acidity, and this offering is no exception. In the cup, expect layered notes of red currants, cherries and plum, with a lingering pleasant black tea aftertaste.
