Nestled in the cloud forest belt of the Andes Mountains at 1,800 meters above sea level, the estate benefits from volcanic ash-enriched black soil and significant diurnal temperature variations, creating ideal conditions for slow coffee cherry maturation.The estate’s Geisha varietals, with over a decade of growth, are cultivated using single-plant micro-lot techniques. This approach harmonizes Geisha’s signature jasmine florals and bergamot zest with Colombia’s distinctive tropical fruit sweetness. The farm practices 100% shade-grown agroecology, alongside coffee pulp composting and a closed-loop water system, achieving carbon neutrality. At the 10th Colombia Land of Diversity (2025), Finca El Porvenir’s Honey-Processed Geisha earned accolades in four out of five specialty categories. It ultimately claimed the auction’s highest bid at $105.50/lb, crowning it the competition’s champion lot.
