Colombia Las Margaritas Gesha Honey Omni
Tasting Notes
Description
CGLE Las Margaritas Honey Gesha\n\nCompetition preparations for 2026 have already started even though not all 2025 champions are crowned yet. Gotta get in early (: \n\nCompetition at Friedhats usually means coffee from Cafe Granja La Esperanza. This year we got four lots from them, including Sudan Rume that we already launched and is almost sold out. \n\nFor those who don’t know Cafe Granja La Esperanza: They were one of the pioneers when it comes to growing different varieties and trying new processing techniques. They have five farms in the cauca valley in the west part of Colombia. This year we bought coffees from Cerro Azul and from Las margaritas.\n\nLas Margaritas is the farm where they do all their experiments and where they grow many different varieties. The sudan rume natural and the gesha honey were the winners for us this year. The sudan rume went fast and is almost finished but the gesha honey is here to take its place. It’s the perfect in-between coffee that has a bit of both worlds, it has some funk and tropical fruits but it’s also very clean and bright with delicate floral notes and a tea like character.
