Luz Helena Salazar produces coffee on her farm, La Leona, situated at 1500masl in Armenia region, Quindio. She started her coffee journey more than twenty years ago, initially growing commodity coffee before overhauling her farm and taking a focus on tree health, processing and cup quality. This lot was processed using a washed technique. Cherry is exposed to a 30hr underwater fermentation, before being pulped. The coffee is washed before being dried in temperature controlled conditions. Sourced through Cofinet, a family business of multigenerational Colombian coffee producers. Cofinet started sourcing and exporting specialty coffee in 2015. Luz Helena is the mother of Cofinet's founders, Carlos and Felipe.
