Lunar Station
Description
This coffee comes from Bwesumbu Hill smallholders, near Mt. Rwenzori, at an altitude starting from 1,735 masl. It was processed at the Lunar Coffee Washing Station in Kirabaho, Kasese District, which was established in 2021 in the Rwenzori Mountains. Lunar Coffee is committed to improving the quality of life for local producers. PROCESSING The coffee underwent the natural process: cherries were picked at 18–24 Brix, floated, and hand-sorted to remove defects. They were then dried on raised beds for 28–30 days, with turning every 30 minutes. TRACEABILITY This lot was sourced through Osito Coffee, in partnership with Long Miles Coffee, who bring over a decade of experience from Burundi to Uganda. Their aim is to elevate Ugandan coffee through precise production methods, farmer support, and eventually, their own farm.

Price Paid for Green Coffee (ex. shipping): £11.00/kg
Amount Purchased: 60kg
Harvest: October - February 2025
