Description
Notes of black grape, peach and almond. Elixir espresso is vibrantly fruity and complex. Roasted to work well both black and in milk. The Elixir Espresso represents our quest to showcase fruit flavours in coffee; we roast light to maintain all of the delicate, complex notes the coffees have to offer. This version is from a family owned farm in the renowned coffee region of Santa María de Dota, Alto El Vapor. The name translates to “the high steam,” and is inspired by the frequent fog that settles on the farm’s high-altitude slopes, which reach up to 2,000 meters. Founded in March 2020 by Doña Mayra, along with her son and two daughters, this project was born out of a shared dream to produce exceptional coffee and create a memorable experience for consumers. It's a true family affair, where every member is committed to quality. They handle every step of the process themselves, from processing and roasting to cupping. Delfina, one of the daughters, also competed in the 2023 Costa Rica Barista Championship, and her husband, Eduardo, is the Costa Rica Cupping Champion. This bright and fruity Elixir works wonderfully on its own as espresso, showcasing tasting notes of black grape, peach and almond. It can also serve as an excellent base for milk – we're getting big hits of purple iced gems!
