Description
Great Rift Coffee is a vertically integrated company based in Nandi Hills, Kenya, specializing in cultivating, processing, roasting, and exporting high-quality Arabica coffee. Established in 2019, it operates with a farm-to-cup model, maintaining quality control at every stage. The company was founded to build a sustainable, reliable supply chain for Kenyan coffee while supporting local farmers, improving processing standards, and showcasing the potential of Nandi Hills and the North Rift as a coffee-growing region. Since inception, Great Rift Coffee has expanded to 300 acres of cultivated coffee and partners with 250–300 local farmers. Its operations include a wet and dry mill, commercial mill, and roastery, allowing direct export of green coffee to international markets. Alongside its coffee operations, Great Rift also manages 40 acres of macadamia trees, 200 acres of sugarcane, and a dairy farm. It grows various Arabica varieties, including Batian, SL28, Ruiru 11, and Blue Mountain. Processing methods include fully washed, honey, naturals, and anaerobic fermentation each enhancing flavor profiles to meet international standards. In addition to its own farms, Great Rift sources coffee from trusted farmers across the Great Rift Valley, Western, and Central Kenya, providing agronomy and processing support to ensure product quality and consistency.
