It is owned and managed by Testi Specialty Coffee, a family-owned company founded by Mr. Faysel A. Yonis, which focuses on producing exceptional coffees and establishing transparent business practices. Testi ensures high-quality coffee production by establishing washing stations in areas with favorable growing conditions and offering premium payments for well-harvested cherries. Approximately 450 local farmers deliver their coffee cherries to Gara Agena for processing. The cherries undergo meticulous hand-sorting and grading, with the healthiest and ripest cherries carefully dried on raised beds. This attention to detail results in coffees with outstanding sweetness, complexity, and distinction.
