Description
About the farm: This coffee is from Mountain Harvest, an Ugandan-based social enterprise that strives to build a sustainable, profitable and equitable relationship between smallholder farmers and exporters. They support more than 500 farmers, paying 15-20% above local market prices, building farm and household assets and enhances farmer resilience to shocks on a commercially and environmentally sustainable basis. About the coffee: This coffee undergoes a traditional washed process, bringing out the purest, most vibrant flavours of the beans. The cherries soak in water for 12-72 hours after pulping. They are then rinsed thoroughly to remove remaining mucilage after fermentation and dried on raised beds to reach the perfect moisture level. This traditional method allows the bean’s natural qualities to shine, resulting in a cup that’s clean, crisp, and packed with complex flavour notes of citrus and floral.
