Brasil Canastra Arara 250g
Tasting Notes
Description
Bright, juicy and velvety – this Brazilian Arara surprises with an unusual fusion of passion fruit, IPA beer and agave notes. It’s a cup that combines the natural sweetness of Brazilian coffees with a modern, expressive edge brought out through careful fermentation. Clean, tropical and well-balanced in texture. The beans come from São Pedro – a farm located at around 1,200 metres above sea level in the Serra da Canastra range, one of the most distinct microclimates in Cerrado Mineiro. Surrounded by gallery forests and rocky hillsides, the area benefits from nutrient-rich soils and a dry harvesting season, all of which contribute to the clarity and structure in the cup. The Arara variety thrives in these conditions, offering resilience and adaptability that allow farmers to minimise chemical input and focus on regenerative practices. This lot underwent an induced fermentation – an aerobic, yeast-guided process that enhances the depth of flavour and brings out the fruit-forward character of the coffee.
