This coffee grows at 1 900–2 150 masl around Shantawene village in Bensa, Sidama. Handled by Tariku Kare Exporters, it has earned multiple Africa Fine Coffee Association awards for its exceptional quality. Tariku offers training at the farm to help farmers achieve great quality coffee in order to incentivise the production of specialty, as well as giving local growers a platform to help them retail their products at the national level. This lot was processed using a traditional washed technique. Cherry is pulped, before being fermented in tanks. The coffee is fully washed before being dried on raised African drying beds.
