Kenya Ruera Natural
Tasting Notes
Description
It is rare to find naturally processed Kenyan coffees, but when we visited Nairobi in early 2025 we were lucky enough to taste a few. As the perception of natural processing is changing in Kenya, producers are beginning to produce coffee using this processing method and achieving some very unique and high quality profiles. The Ruera Natural stood out to us and we are excited to be able to share it with you. Nestled in the Kiambu region, Ruera Coffee Estate benefits from the rich volcanic soil, temperate climate and high altitude. The farm offers employment to about 300 workers each day, 30% of who live on the farm’s labor lines. The residence employees are provided with a crèche for preschool children and a primary school is within the farm for other children. A dispensary is provided within the farm. The result is a secure friendly and conducive relationship between the employer, employees and neighborhood. Freshly roasted beans make great coffee. Our coffees are roasted every week, nitrogen flushed and vacuum sealed. Enjoy delicious coffees at fair and transparent pricing, and delivered to your door in whole beans or ground to your preferred brewing method. We ship coffees nationwide, and orders above R699 are shipped for free.
