Norbey Quimbayo Caturron
Tasting Notes
Description
Another gem from our new friend, Norbey Quimbayo. Likewise Papayo, this is also our very first Caturron. While we have heard of Caturron for recent few years, it's been hard to find classic process lots that would tell the cultivars' potential the best like this. Caturron is a relatively new variety from Acevedo, Huila. This variety is well known for its large cherry and used to be considered as a mutation of Caturra, that recently turned out to be from Ethiopia landrace genetic groups. Caturron is known for its vibrant green notes with its brightness and this lot is a plethora of bright exotic fruit tones. Expect vibrant passionfruit, tart strawberry, and sweet honeydew in the finish.
